Rare PK66 Coffee Table by Poul Kjaerholm for E. Cold Christensen, Denmark, 1972

Impressive PK66 coffee table in very good condition.
Designed by Poul Kjaerholm in Denmark in 1972
Produced by E. Cold Christensen between 1972 and 1974
The table top is constructed of a square plywood top with diagonal maple veneer.
The legs are curved and a placed at the midpoints of the square top to emphasize the square as an independent shape.
They are made of plywood with maple veneer.

Poul Kjærholm was a trained carpenter and continued his studies at the Danish School of Arts and Crafts. He had a particular interest in different construction materials; especially steel which he considered a natural material with the same artistic fineness as other natural materials.
