Travertine is shaped by constant water pressure and stress. It is formed from the calcium carbonate deposits that can be found around different types of hot springs and streams. The various impurities in the stone can give it different colors. These shades are highly sought after for their decorative appeal, and can include combinations of beige, tan and brown.
