Rare Large Gino Sarfatti 3009 Flushmounts Produced by Arteluce

Very rare pair of 3009 flushmounts in excellent condition. Designed by Gino Sarfatti in 1953. Manufactured by Arteluce, Italy. These lamps are made of aluminum and glass. The top part is made of aluminum and is lacquered in a anthracite color on the outside and is lacquered white on the inside to improve reflection the light. The aluminum ring at the bottom is lacquered in a light grey color and is held in place by three grip screws. A glass diffuser rests in the bottom ring, it is made from very thick frosted and shaded glass which was handmade. Each lamp has three metal E27 sockets, rewired for US use. One of the two lamps still has the ‘Arteluce’ sticker on the back. Literature: Gino Sarfatti 1938-1973 selected works.
