Impressive Clover Leaf Sectional Sofa by Verner Panton in Grey Fabric

Beautiful 'Clover Leaf' sofa in excellent condition. Designed by Verner Panton in 1969 for the Visiona 2 Exhibition in Cologne, Germany. It consists of a base plate which acts as the seating area and a narrow backrest placed vertically on it. For the base plate Panton selected a pentangular form which is open on one side and is hollowed out at the centre to provide legroom. The snake-like backrest provides a large number of niches in which one person can sit and which face alternately inwards and outwards. The sofa is consists of 4 double-sided modules which are reupholstered in a light grey Hallingdal 130 Wool from Kvadrat. The elements can be connected to each other.
