Temde Leuchten, a German-Swiss manufacturer of lighting fixtures, was founded by Fritz Müller in 1911, headquartered in Detmold (North Rhine-Westphalia) and subsidiary in Sevelen, Switzerland. In its early time, only wood (mostly teak) made lamps were made. Since the 1930s, Temde has also been producing lighting elements made of modern materials such as chrome and glass. However, wood is still the dominant part. Now in the vintage market, those non-wood lamps by Temde are of significant scarcity.
