The company ANVIA was founded in 1933 by a German entrepreneur, Max Liebert. In the early 50s he met Ilse Liebert of ANVIA at the Jaarbeurs in Utrecht. From that moment on a long-term cooperation begins. Jan Hoogervorst was not affiliated with the ANVIA factory, but had his own design agency, Interdesign.
