Product description

Beautiful pair of Mathieu Matégot tables in good condition.
Manufactured by Artimeta in the 1950s Perforated metal top and frame lacquered in black and white.
Because of the triangular shape of the tables they can be combined in many ways.

A precursor of contemporary design, Mathieu Matégot imagined innovative household objects and furniture that adapted them to the 1950s new aesthetics and interiors. In the late 1940s, he was the first to use perforated steel that he lacquered in black and poetically named “Rigitulle”. He also invented a machine capable of pleating and folding steel which gave his creativity an incredible freedom.
