The chairs have a solid Meranti frame and the backrest and seat are made of thick brown saddle leather.
De leather is embossed with Inca patterns and has a beautiful patina.
The chairs were designed in the late 1960s, At the time Equador received a US aid project to encourage native craftsman.Local designers where given the opportunity to meet Danish modernists and exchange knowledge and ideas.You can see the influence of this design in Wegners JH 512 Chair.
