Minimalist ’Sirio’ floor lamp in very good condition. Designed by Kazuhide Takahama in 1977. Manufactured by Sirrah Italy. The ‘Sirio’ is made from a lacquered metal profile which is bent to act as the stem and the base of the lamp. It holds a simple metal hood that can be adjusted which houses a halogen bulb. The lamp can dimmed with a plastic dimmer switch. We left the original paintwork which has some minor damages, on request we can have the lamp professionally resprayed. Kazuhide Takahama was born in Japan in 1930 and after completing his studies in Architecture in Tokyo he started working in Kazuo Fuioka’s studio. In 1957, he went to Italy to visit the Triennale in Milan where he met Dino Gavina. He developed his own well-defined stylistic lexis in a climate of profuse cultural exchanges. The furniture and lighting he designs often features clean lines and a formal restraint.
