Product description

Beautiful and rare burl wood ‘Alveo’ Sideboard in very good condition.

Designed by the renowned Italian fashion photographer and designer Willy Rizzo.

Manufactured by Mario Sabot in 1972.

This elegant credenza is the large version from Rizzo’s ‘Alveo’ series and is seldom seen in its exquisite elm burl wood finish. The entire piece is beautifully veneered in elm burlwood, featuring a rich honey and caramel-toned grain that gives the sideboard a warm, luxurious appearance.

The front features three spacious drawers, two side doors and a central flip-down compartment which is ideal for use as a bar.

The design is enhanced by elegant brass details, including the circular door handles, the refined edging and the rectangular plinth base, creating a beautiful contrast with the natural patterns of the burlwood.

The back is also fully finished, allowing the sideboard to be placed freely in a room or used as a room divider.

A striking example of Italian design from the 1970s, combining exceptional materials, thoughtful functionality and Willy Rizzo’s unmistakable sophisticated aesthetic.
