Modernist wall lamp, model 7078 in very good original condition. Designed by Jan Hoogervorst, Netherlands, 1958. Manufactured by Anvia Almelo. The lamp has a black and white metal shade which can pivot and can be rotated 180 degrees. The shade is attached to a nickel arm which can be adjusted in height by sliding it over the bar attached to the wall. The lamp is in very good condition and fully original. Diameter of the shade is 28 cm.
The company ANVIA was founded in 1933 by a German entrepreneur, Max Liebert.In the early 50s he met Ilse Liebert of ANVIA at the Jaarbeurs in Utrecht. From that moment on a long-term cooperation begins. Jan Hoogervorst was not affiliated with the ANVIA factory, but had his own design agency, Interdesign. ANVIA is a permanent client for whom he designed a new collection every year until the early 80s. Jan Hoogervorst travels around the world to gain inspiration for ANVIA, among others.
