Product description

Set of ‘Uchiwa II’ fan wall lamps by Ingo Maurer in very good condition.
Designed by Ingo Maurer for M design, Germany.
These lamps were handmade in 1977 from bamboo, wicker and Japanese rice paper.
They are very fragile and therefor very hard to find in good condition.
The lamp are connected to the wall by a metal wire frame.
One socket per lamp.

Ingo Maurer’s interest in paper for lampshades was linked with his interest in Japan. From 1973-1975 he produced various lamps from traditional Japanese fans.
