Product description
Two beautiful S14 benches in very good condition. Designed and manufactured by Pierre Chapo in the 1960s. These benches are made of solid elmwood. The design is simplistic and therefore the grain and natural character of the wood is nicely exposed. The joints on the corners and drawer form both essential technical as well as aesthetic features of this object. They can also be used as a side table. Pierre Chapo (1927-1987) was an architect, furniture designer and lecturer. After graduating from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris he opened his own workshop in Clamart and Paris. Pierre Chapo was an outrageous skillful carpenter and cabinetmaker.
