The L01 daybed by is characterized by Sober design and simple lines.
Pierre Chapo designed this daybed in 1959 for the writer Samuel Becket and named it 'Godot', in reference to the play 'Waiting for Godot’.
The daybed still has its original plywood bottom with holes to ventilate the matras.
The matras is new and professionally upholstered in a beautiful thick Bouclé fabric in an ecru/beige color.Pierre Chapo (1927-1987) was an architect, furniture designer and lecturer. After graduating from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris he opened his own workshop in Clamart and Paris. Pierre Chapo was an outrageous skilful carpenter and cabinetmaker.
