Impressive Metaphora coffee table in very good condition.
This coffee table is designed by Massimo & Lella Vignelli in 1979.
Four forms of the Euclidean geometry, the cube, the cylinder, the sphere and the pyramid, are represent the basis of the table.
The bases are made from solid travertine, they support a thick clear glass top.
The four elements are independent and can be positioned freely, without the table losing its own identity regardless the position of the elements it consists of.
Lella Vignelli was born in Udine and graduated in architecture in Venice. Massimo Vignelli was born in Milan in 1931 and studied architecture in Milan and Venice. Their work includes graphic design, corporate image work for industry, signs and industrial design; they design furniture, interiors and exhibition installations.
